Hubby has the flu

I didn't get any sleep last night because Jon was throwing up all night long. Every hour or less he was in the bathroom puking his guts out and making these horrible wrenching sounds. I wheeled down the hall and through the bathroom door I asked him if he was alright and he said "I'm fine" . . . sure didn't sound like someone who would be "fine". Our son, Jason was staying over and was sleeping on the sofa, and so he was kept up all night, too. We both felt sorry that we couldn't do anything for the poor man.

Finally, the vomiting subsided and he is now hurting all over, trying to find a comfortable place to lay. He was on the sofa for awhile, trying to distract himself with television, but no use. He is now back in his bed, sleeping with his breathing machine mask on (he has sleep apnea).

We were worried for awhile that he would have to go to the ER so my son stayed until we were certain what it was and then he went home, which is probably best because he doesn't need to get this crap. I, on the other hand, can't escape it and will be in a real pickle if I start with the barfing. The wheel chair doesn't fit through the bathroom door and I have to get my walker and hop over to the toilet. I don't think I would make it if I get what he has. So, we will think positive that I won't catch it.

It's raining and dreary today. Good thing it isn't snow, though. Snow makes getting the wheel chair to the car really difficult and I have to go to the doctor tomorrow to get a new cast and see if the infection is gone. Yes, it got infected and I am still on antibiotics for that. My two smaller toes on that foot are numb and hope that is only temporary.

Going to go get me some coffee with Barvarian Cream coffee creamer. I love all the different flavors there are now.

He's starting to feel better this evening, though he is very weak. I did what I could to help him even though in a wheel chair. Rolling one wheel with one hand and pulling with my good foot on the opposite side while I bring him stuff. Geesh!Aren't we a pair! LOL!
